It's the Little Things

Who knew the smallest things could bring you the most joy in the world? From little acts of kindness, to a few words in a quote, these small minuscule things in life seem to brighten up my world every day. Earlier this afternoon I saw a 3 year old leap off a curb, clutching onto her mother and father's hands with all of her trust, and land with a squeal and a giggle as they shared that moment of pure joy together. It reminded me of my childhood and how blessed I was to have parents who loved me unconditionally and were always there to share those precious moments in my life. This also made me compare to my life today, I still experience great joy in things that are right in front of my nose and am grateful for people who continue to shape my life each and every day.

Mom and Dad, this one's for you.
These two people have influenced me in ways that I cannot even begin to describe. Their love for the Lord and for each other has given our family such a strong foundation that, though it is extremely sad, many families lack in this world today. I pray everyday that my future husband and I will have such a strong relationship like my parents, but of our own of course.

That tike to the left is me, exactly 13 years ago today, actually, and those are my perfect parents (my little brother is absent from the picture because he was too busy crying in the Crying Room at ski-school). Of course, we have all changed a little in size, but for the most part a picture of us today looks the exact same.

Each day, I try to find little things in my world that bring me great joy, but I have to remind myself that the biggest blessings come from people that I love.

In no way is my life perfect, but I have come to terms that I am extremely content and blessed to be surrounded by people who love me and who I love as well.

Stay Classy
~Erin
