Beauty is Pain

Most girls get their ears pierced around the age of ten. My mom always told me, from the first time I brought it up, that I could get mine done when I turned thirteen - just like her. When that time came around, I was so busy with sports and my teenager lifestyle that I had no real desire to get them done, plus I was really too busy. People would always ask me why, and I was simply say, "It makes me unique." Not having my ears pierced was always my go-to answer to "Never-Have-I-Ever, which always scored the win along with never have been to Disney World.

Over Spring Break, I decided to take this monumental step in my life, and break the uniqueness, to get my ears pierced. Let me tell you something, it hurt. A lot. People always say it's just like a pinch, but I have news, it hurt knowing that I was having something poke all the way through my poor ear lobe.

Side note: I have an extremely low pain-tolerance. I bruise like a peach.

However, even though I was a big baby, I was brave enough to complete the task with tears and with many giggles of excitement and fear (yes my mom held my hand). My ears are as beautiful as ever, now, and I am so excited to be able to cross this thing off of my bucket list!

Here is the start of my earring collection!

You cannot go wrong with pearls: always a
good plan to dress up ANY outfit

These neon earrings from J. Crew are super
fun and will make for a great pair of studs

Stay Classy,
Erin
